Google Yourself

Your delving into the word of personal brand awareness and protection now Wannabe_goddess!

Its not something to be embaressed about, in fact its not even considered vain anymore (it was called a vanity search at one point) but today and in the near future, it will be something that concerns everyone as realisation dawns that when you meet someone in business or go for a job, its not only the social networks that count but the google search results for your name!

Now forget the A-typical fears most people have of dubious "drunken bash" photos appearing and instead consider this point of view as well, what if you haven't done anything worthy or notable, or others with your name have simply done more than you, and you do NOT appear in google at all, how will that affect your prospects? Its as negative as appearing at number 1 but for all the wrong reasons...

So finally people are catching on to the requirements of protecting their name and reputation as much as possible by at the least haveing a website they can attribute to themselves professionally!

Take an example of my name. Google "justinparks" or "justin parks". Its 80% me and the other results in there are all other "me's" who got lucky and thats the way I want to keep it!

Kinda scary eh?
